This unique tour offers players and their partners the opportunity to experience two of Scandinavia’s most beautiful cities. Recreational hobby teams will gather from all over the world to compete in the 1st Annual Stockholm Royal Cup. After the tournament the teams will board the Silja Cruise Line ship for an overnight cruise to Helsinki, Finland. Travelers will enjoy four nights in Helsinki, Finland and play 2 exhibitions games against local teams. Players can register with your team or as individual players. Individual players will be placed on a team.
Registration is limited to 1 Canadian and 1 American team in each division.

Tour Highlights
Travelers will arrive in Stockholm, Sweden and have time to explore this beautiful city. Stockholm is famous for its fashion, design, restaurants, beautiful architecture and cultural experiences. Stockholm encompasses 14 islands and more than 50 bridges on an extensive Baltic Sea archipelago. The cobblestone streets and ochre colored buildings of Gamla Stan (the old town) are home to the 13th century Storkyrkan Cathedral, the Kungliga Slottet Royal Palace and the Nobel museum. After the tournament it’s on to Helsinki, Finland. Helsinki, Finland’s southern capital, sits on a peninsula in the Gulf of Finland. Its central avenue, Mannerheimintie, is flanked by institutions including the National Museum, tracing Finnish history from the Stone Age to the present. The tour will offer a 40+, 50+ and 60+ teams the opportunity to play in a tournament and play some exhibition games in Finland. Recreational hockey teams from all over the world will compete in the 1st annual Stockholm Royal Cup. PLC Sports Travel will recruit one Canadian and one American team in each division to represent their country in the tournament. The 1st Annual Stockholm Royal Cup is looking forward to welcoming teams from all over the world to participate in what will be one of hockey’s most exciting recreational tournaments. The tournament can accommodate up to 8 teams in each division. Teams will play a minimum of 4 games. Games will be 2 20-minute stop time periods. Slap shots and body checking are not permitted. This is a mid-level recreational tournament presented for the enjoyment of all players and their guests. A tournament banquet on Saturday night will conclude the three days of exciting hockey action. APRIL 19 TO APRIL 30, 2022 Mon. April 18, 2022 Depart local airport to Stockholm, Sweden Tues. April 19, 2022 Arrive in Stockholm, Sweden. Transfer by bus to the arena to drop off hockey equipment. Continue to the hotel. Afternoon and evening on your own for sightseeing. Wed. April 20, 2022 Breakfast at the hotel. Sightseeing today in Stockholm. Thurs. April 21, 2022 Breakfast at the hotel. Tournament starts today. Fri. April 22, 2022 Breakfast at the hotel. The tournament continues today with games throughout the day. You will have some free time between games. Sat. April 23, 2022 Breakfast at the hotel. The tournament finals will take place today. A tournament banquet will take place at O’Leary’s Sports Bar in the evening with prizes and awards. Sun. April 24, 2022 Breakfast at the hotel. Today everyone will enjoy all the sights and attractions in Stockholm at your own pace. Attractions include: Galma Stan, The Royal Palace, Vasa Museum, Djugaden and Drottningholm Palace. Monday April 25, 2022 Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Stockholm ferry terminal and board the Silja Cruise Line for the overnight cruise to Helsinki. Guests will enjoy the buffet dinner in the evening and can enjoy the many evening activities on board. Tuesday April 26, 2022 A buffet breakfast will be served on board the ship before we arrive in Helsinki. After we dock, we will transfer to our hotel and guests will have the rest of the day to enjoy sightseeing in Helsinki. Wednesday April 27, 2022 Breakfast at the hotel. Travelers will have the day to see more of the attractions in Helsinki including Suomenlnna Fortress, Helsinki Cathedral, Market Square, Temppeliaukion Church, National Museum. (Admission tickets are not included) The team will play an exhibition game in the evening. Thursday April 28, 2022 Breakfast at the hotel. Travelers can continue sightseeing in Helsinki or take an optional day trip to Tallinn, Estonia. Friday April 29, 2022 Breakfast at the hotel. Local sightseeing today. AN exhibition game in the evening is planned for the team. Saturday April 30, 2022 Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Helsinki airport for the flight home. |
