PLC Sports Travel is pleased to offer this unique Pickleball Tour for 50+ and 60+ Pickleball players who are looking for an amazing experience for the recreational Pickleball player.
This tour starts with your arrival in Madrid. Travellers will have an opportunity to visit some iconic sites including the Puerta del Sol, San Miguel Market, Plaza Mayor, Royal Palace and a visit to the monastery at San Lorenzo de El Escorial. Players will have a training session on Thursday and play a minimum of 10 games in the tournament on Saturday and Sunday with local and international competition.
Our next stop is Seville. While in Seville, travellers will attend a Flamenco show, have a guided tour of the old town with entrance to the Catedral, Alcazar and La Giralda. The group will have plenty of time to explore all the wonders of Seville.The group will play some exhibition matches with local players.
On to Granada. Granada is a city in southern Spain’s Andalusia region, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. It's known for grand examples of medieval architecture dating to the Moorish occupation, especially the Alhambra. This sprawling hilltop fortress complex encompasses royal palaces, serene patios, and reflecting pools from the Nasrid dynasty, as well as the fountains and orchards of the Generalife gardens. The Alhambra is the 2nd most visited attraction in Europe!
The final stop on our tour is Malaga. Malaga, Pablo Picasso's birthplace and the gateway to the Costa del Sol has an impressive number of museums and monuments, including the 11th-century Alcazaba fort and Museu Picasso Malaga. The old city bustles with taverns and bistros. The generous Paseo del Parque offers a delightful stroll past banana trees and fountains.
Exhibition matches will be organized for you in Malaga.

ITINERARY:
WED. OCT. 16TH Madrid, Spain Arrive at the Madrid Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport in the morning. Transfer to a Madrid 4-5 Star hotel. Hotel check in will be at 3:00pm. Travelers will be able to store their luggage in a secure room until check in. You can relax at the hotel or take some time to explore the nearby sites and have some lunch at a local restaurant. A welcome reception will be held at the hotel with a complementary beverage. A welcome dinner is also included. THURS. OCT 17TH Madrid, Spain Breakfast at the hotel. Today we take a guided walking tour of “Old Madrid”. We will visit the city’s historic center including Puerta del Sol, San Miguel Market, and Plaza Mayor. We will take a guided tour of the Royal Palace and finish our walking tour in “Plaza Santa Ana”, a lively historical square housing one of Madrid’s most famous theaters along with a wide range of restaurants and “tapas bars” to choose from. I recommend a stop at the Cerveceria Alemana a favorite stop for Ernest Hemingway while he was in Madrid during the Spanish Civil War. At 4:00pm the group will transfer to the local Pickleball club for some exhibition games with local players from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. Dinner on your own after Pickleball. FRI. OCT 18TH Madrid, Spain Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast the group will board the bus and head to San Lorenzo de El Escorial for the Monastery tour. The tour will start at 10:00am. The Escorial is a vast building complex located in San Lorenzo de El Escorial, near Madrid, in central Spain. The building is the most important architectural monument of the Spanish Renaissance. Construction of El Escorial began in 1563 and ended in 1584. The project was conceived by King Philip II, who wanted a building to serve the multiple purposes of a burial place for his father, Holy Roman emperor Charles V; a Hieronymite monastery; and a palace. After the tour the bus will transfer to Segovia for the afternoon. Travellers will have a chance to see Alcazar de Segovia, Catedral de Segovia, the Aqueduct and some free time to explore the town. At 6:00pm the bus will transfer the group back to Madrid. Dinner on your own. SAT. OCT 19TH Madrid, Spain Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Pickleball club for the 2nd Annual PLC Sports Madrid Cup. This is the third event on the PLC Sports Senior Pickleball Tour. Teams will play against local and regional players from Spain and possibly some international players. Transfer back to the hotel after the games. Dinner on your own. SUN. OCT 20TH Madrid, Spain Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Pickleball club for Day 2 of the tournament. Awards ceremony after the tournament. Transfer back to the hotel. A farewell to Madrid dinner is included. MON. OCT. 21ST Seville, Spain Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Seville. Seville is the capital and largest city of the Spanish autonomous community of Andalusia and the province of Seville. It is situated on the lower reaches of the river Guadalquivir, in the southwest of the Iberian Peninsula. The group will attend a Flamenco show in the early evening. Dinner will be on your own after the show. A group reservation is possible. TUES. OCT. 22ND Seville, Spain Breakfast at the hotel. Guided walking tour of Seville with entrance into the Catedral, Alcazar and La Giralda. The Giralda is the bell tower of Seville Cathedral in Seville, Spain. It was built as the minaret for the Great Mosque of Seville in al-Andalus, Moorish Spain, during the reign of the Almohad dynasty, with a Renaissance-style belfry added by the Catholics after the expulsion of the Muslims from the area. The Cathedral of Saint Mary of the See, better known as Seville Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Seville, Andalusia, Spain. It was registered in 1987 by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, along with the adjoining Alcázar palace complex and the General Archive of the Indies. Today is free to explore Seville on your own or take a day tour to a local attraction. Dinner and evening on your own. THURS. OCT. 24TH Granada, Spain Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Granada. OCT 26TH Malaga, Spain Transfer Malaga. Check into the hotel. Afternoon walking tour of Malaga.
