TOUR HIGHLIGHTS
This tour starts with your arrival in Madrid. Travellers will have an opportunity to visit some iconic sites including the Puerta del Sol, San Miguel Market, Plaza Mayor, Royal Palace and a visit to the monastery at San Lorenzo de El Escorial and Segovia. Options include guided walking tour of Madrid and the Royal Palace. Players will have a training session on Thursday with open play games. On Saturday and Sunday, players will play in a tournament. The tournament will include local and international competition.Our next stop is Seville. While in Seville, travellers can attend a Flamenco show, have a guided tour of the old town with entrance to the Catedral, Alcazar and La Giralda. The group will have plenty of time to explore all the wonders of Seville. The group will play 2 4-hour open play sessions with local players.
On to Granada. Granada is a city in southern Spain’s Andalusia region, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. It's known for grand examples of medieval architecture dating to the Moorish occupation, especially the Alhambra. This sprawling hilltop fortress complex encompasses royal palaces, serene patios, and reflecting pools from the Nasrid dynasty, as well as the fountains and orchards of the Generalife gardens. The Alhambra is the 2nd most visited attraction in Europe! Travellers will have a guided tour of the Alhambra and a walking tour.
The final stop on our tour is Malaga. Malaga, Pablo Picasso's birthplace and the gateway to the Costa del Sol has an impressive number of museums and monuments, including the 11th-century Alcazaba fort and Museu Picasso Malaga. The old city bustles with taverns and bistros. The generous Paseo del Parque offers a delightful stroll past banana trees and fountains. Open play matches will be organized for you in Malaga.

TOUR ITINERARY
Wed. Oct. 22nd
Day 1 Madrid, Spain
Arrive at the Madrid Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport in the morning. Transfer to a Madrid 4-5 Star hotel. Hotel check in will be at 3:00pm. Travelers will be able to store their luggage in a secure room until check in. You can relax at the hotel or take some time to explore the nearby sites and have some lunch at a local restaurant. A welcome reception will be held at the hotel with a complementary beverage.
Thurs. Oct. 23rd
Day 2 Madrid, Spain
Breakfast at the hotel. Today you can take an optional guided walking tour of “Old Madrid”. It includes a visit to the city’s historic center including Puerta del Sol, San Miguel Market, and Plaza Mayor. You will take a guided tour of the Royal Palace and finish the walking tour in “Plaza Santa Ana”. At 4:00pm the group will transfer to the local Pickleball club for some exhibition games with local players from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. Dinner on your own after Pickleball.
Fri. Oct. 24th
Day 3 Madrid, Spain
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast the group can take an optional tour to San Lorenzo de El Escorial for the Monastery tour. After the tour the bus will transfer the group to the Valley of the Fallen, and we will have a tour of the Basilica. Next, we head to Segovia where you will have the opportunity to visit the Alcazar de Segovia, Catedral de Segovia and the Aqueduct. Enjoy some free time wandering the streets in town. The bus will return to Madrid. If you choose not to participate in the optional tour, you can explore Madrid on your own or book your own tour.Dinner on your own.
Sat. Oct. 25th
Day 4 Madrid, Spain
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Pickleball club for PLC Sports Madrid Cup. Teams will play against local and regional players from Spain and possibly some international players. Transfer back to the hotel after the games.

Sun. Oct. 26th
Day 5 Madrid, Spain
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Pickleball club for Day 2 of the tournament. Awards ceremony after the tournament. Transfer back to the hotel. A farewell to Madrid dinner is included.
Monday Oct. 27th
Day 6 Seville, Spain
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Seville. Seville is the capital and largest city of the Spanish autonomous community of Andalusia and the province of Seville. It is situated on the lower reaches of the river Guadalquivir, in the southwest of the Iberian Peninsula.The group may attend an optional Flamenco show in the early evening.Dinner will be on your own after the show on your own.

Day 7 Seville, Spain
Guided walking tour of Seville with entrance into the Catedral, Alcazar and La Giralda.At 4:00pm the group will transfer to the local Pickleball club for some open play from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Dinner on your own after Pickleball.
Wed. Oct. 29th
Day 8 Seville, Spain
Breakfast at the hotel. Today is free to explore Seville on your own or take a day tour to a local attraction.
At 4:00pm the group will transfer to the local Pickleball club for some exhibition matches. Dinner on your own after Pickleball.
Thurs. Oct. 30th
Day 9 Granada, Spain

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will have a guided tour of the Alhambra. It is one of Spain’s most-visited landmarks, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site—and this all-in-one guided tour makes exploring the complex’s many attractions seamless. You’ll visit the Alcazaba, the Nasrid Palaces, the Palace of Carlos V, the Generalife villa, and more highlights, and will learn the history from your guide’s stories.

Day 11 Malaga, Spain
Transfer Malaga. Check into the hotel. Optional Tours today.
Afternoon walking tour of Malaga. Discover most of Málaga’s major attractions in just a few hours on this immersive walking tour of the city. Begin the tour at the centrally located Plaza de la Merced, and explore the Málaga Cathedral, nicknamed “La Manquita” for its missing tower. You’ll also get in touch with the city’s ancient past when you visit its Roman Theater, and will visit the hilltop Alcazaba, which offers unbeatable, panoramic views. Pickleball exhibition games in the late afternoon.

OUR BOOKING POLICIES
PRICING:
Canadian travelers pay in CDN
US and International travelers pay in USD. The U.S. dollar price will be sent to you once you have filled out the tour registration form.
Tour package pricing is per person, and based on double occupancy. Single room prices available upon request. A deposit fee is required to register for the tour. Requests for add-on tour pricing will be detailed in the custom tour quote.
Pricing does not include:
• Meals (unless indicated in the itinerary)
• Personal spending money
• Admission tickets to attractions (unless indicated in the itinerary)
AIRFARE:
Airfare is NOT included in the package price. Travelers are welcome to book their own airfare as per the group’s arrival and departure schedule. Please consult with PLC Sports Travel before booking your flights. Travelers will be expected to ensure their arrival and departure coincides with the group bus transfer times. If your flights do not correspond with the group transfer time, you will be required to arrange your own transportation.
TRAVEL INSURANCE:
PLC Sports Travel requires all travelers to have out of country health insurance. We also recommend you purchase trip cancellation and or trip interruption insurance to protect yourself from any unforeseen circumstances. Insurance is not included in the package.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
If a person cancels the ground portion of the tour, the following charges will apply:
• 91 + Days prior to departure, you will receive a refund of the payments you have made less a $100.00 service charge.
• 61-90 Days prior to departure, you will receive a 50% refund of the payments you have made less the $100.00 non-refundable deposit. If you find a replacement player/guest, you will receive a full refund less a $250.00 service charge.
• 0-60 Days prior to departure, no refund will be issued. If you find a replacement player/guest, you will receive a full refund less a $250.00 service charge.
